UTICA, N.Y. -- The 2016-17 season is in the books and it's the Norwich Cadets who will forever be etched in the history books as its champion. But that's far from all that went down in Utica this weekend, and as always was on hand to take it all in.

Norwich's national championship is its fourth all-time and first since 2010.

On Friday, Trinity edged St. Norbert, 3-2, in an up-tempo and fan-friendly game in which Trinity's Samuel Johnson score his first goal of the season, but a big one it was as it proved to be the game-winner.

In the other semifinal, Adrian battled back from a 4-2 third period deficit to force overtime with Norwich, but in the end it the Cadets' Ian Williams scored the extra session game-winner to propel the Cadets into the title game.

In that title game, Norwich held off a strong second period surge by Trinity to pull away in the third for a 4-1 win that was a lot closer than the score indicates.

Long story short, The Cadets claimed their fourth national title and first since 2010. But game action wasn't all that went on at the Utica AUD, so if you missed any of it get caught up on all of it right here with our Live at the AUD! news feed.
