Tommies extend win streak in men's hockey

Brett Gravelle recorded his second consecutive two-goal game and the host Tommie Men's Hockey team scored the go-ahead and insurance goals in the last 2:03 as UST scored a 6-4 win over St. Olaf Saturday night in Mendota Heights. That capped a weekend sweep for UST.

St. Thomas (14-6-1 overall, 9-2-1 MIAC) extended its season win streak to seven and has won 12 of its last 15 games. The Toms moved alone into the conference lead with four games left in the regular season.

Broydon Stufko scored with 2:03 remaining to break a 4-4 tie. Johnny Panvica scored an empty-net goal in the closing seconds. Panvica and Brian LeBlanc scored power-play goals.

UST outshot the Oles 36-23.

The Toms play St. John's next weekend -- Friday night in St. Cloud and Saturday night in Mendota Heights.
