MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – In a matchup of nationally ranked teams, the No. 6/6 Middlebury women's ice hockey team picked up a 3-0 victory over No. 10 Endicott on Saturday evening at Kenyon Arena.

The Panthers received goals from Jessica Young (Mission Hills, Kan.)Elizabeth Wulf (Larchmont, N.Y.), and Rachael St. Clair (Minnetonka, Minn.), while Lin Han (Toronto, Ont.) stopped 13 shots for her first career shutout.

Endicott goaltender Vendela Jonsson (Linkoping, Sweden) kept the Gulls in the contest with 36 saves as Middlebury outshot Endicott by a 39-13 margin. Jonsson made 12 saves in a scoreless first period, before allowing one goal on 16 shots in the second, and two more on 11 attempts in the third.

  • Today's game was the second meeting for Endicott against Middlebury in program history (0-2-0).
  • In both matchups, Middlebury has been nationally ranked (7th in 2015-16, 6th in 2016-17).
  • Maggie Layo (Sandwich, Mass.) won a team-high eight faceoffs.

  • St. Clair finished with a two-point day as she added an assist on Wulf's tally at 10:50 of the third.
  • Allie Aiello (Maplewood, N.J.) also had two assists, while Maddie Winslow (Manchester, Vt.)Katarani Shuchuk (Madison, Wisc.), and Haley LaFontaine (Summit, N.J.) found their names in the assist column as well.

Endicott (12-2-1) travels to Bowdoin on Tuesday, January 17 for a non-conference matchup at 7 PM. Middlebury (8-2-2) will also play Bowdoin next week on Friday, January 20 and Saturday, January 21 at 7 PM and 3 PM, respectively.
