Elmira Press Conference Postgame Quotes

Johanna Eidenstein when facing adversity during the season in games and reflecting on her Soaring Eagles career:

"When we are down as a team we are encouraging each other, always staying positive and working through it together. I think what I'm going to miss the most is our national program playing hard as a team and my teammates and coaches."

Maddy Jerolman on what's best about the program and how to cope with a tough loss: "We have great group of girls, leaders and coaches. We all fought hard and it's a tough pill to swallow but at the end of the day we are all family."

First-year Head Coach Tim Crowley's opening statement:

"I thought that we could for sure be one of the top two teams in the country this year but unfortunately for whatever reason we just couldn't get some tough luck today. In overtime we created a lot of chances and we could argue that we were the better team in the extra session, but the bounces didn't go our way and just wasn't meant to be for us today."

Adrian Press Conference Postgame Quotes

Sixth-year Head Coach Chad Davis immediate thoughts about the contest: "Quite a game there…these girls came with a lot of passion tonight and didn't give up on it and I couldn't be more proud of them. There was a lot of pressure on them. I think we just stayed in the moment and concentrated on each play, each shift. There wasn't any thought of 'this is it' if we don't win but they just went for it, so hats off to this group."

Senior captain Kaylyn Schroka describing her game-winning overtime goal: "After playing that long you just got to bear down and it's got to come within; this could've been it for us. The play was a blur…I just drove the net and got a bounce to get the puck in. It was just a relief, like a weight lifted off our shoulders when it was over with a victory."

Forward Kristin Lewicki on making the program's first National Semifinals appearance: "Knowing that this could've been our last game, we wanted to prove (to) everyone wrong and show that we could make it to the 'frozen four. We went into this game having confidence and knowing that we had to get that first goal and to keep pounding the offensive zone after that."

Senior goalie Brooke Gibson on managing nerves in one of the most important games of her collegiate career: " I just took it shot by shot, so one save at a time, one shift at a time not really thinking about the end result and just playing my game.  It hasn't really sunk in yet (reaching and hosting the 'final four') but it's just a huge wave of emotions; the best emotions possible because we came out on top."
