WORCESTER, MASS. – Nov. 25, 2017 – Senior forward Cassidy Colhoun (Kincardine, Ont./Saugeen-Mailland Lightning) became the all-time leading goal scorer and senior goaltender Sydney Isbell (Thunder Bay, Ont./Thunder Bay Queens) became the all-time wins leader in Chatham University women's hockey history on Saturday as the Cougars defeated host Becker College 4-0.
RECORDS: With the win, the Cougars improve to 2-5 overall while the Hawks fall to 1-5-2. Both teams will square off tomorrow at 1 pm to wrap-up the weekend series.
SCORING SUMMARY: Chatham enjoyed two first-period goals as junior forward Kristina Block (Scarborough, Maine/North Yarmouth Academy) found the back of the net less than two minutes into the game, thanks to an assist from senior defender Emma McFarlane (Ottawa, Ont./Perth Predators), to go ahead 1-0.
Two minutes later, senior defender Kasandra Petersen (Faribault, Minn./Minnesota Blades) notched the Cougars' second goal of the day.
Later in the third period, Colhoun scored a power-play goal for her 27th career goal to pass Erika Martin as the program's all-time leading scorer. Colhoun's goal was assisted by first-year defender Danielle Bos (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Buffalo Bison) and McFarlane.
Petersen wrapped up the scoring for Chatham, taking a feed from sophomore forward Holly Ackerman (East Rockaway, N.Y./Brewster Academy) in the 18th minute of the third.
GOALTENDING: Isbell earned her 13th career victory, the most in program history, collecting 21 saves along the way.
FACEOFFS: Colhoun won a game-high 18 draws while first-year forward Madison Black (Wexford, Pa./Pens Elite) won 14.
