September 20, 2016 Castleton hires Silengo, Fimiani to lead programs. Earlier this offseason, Castleton lost both of their head coaches within a week. Today, they announced both hires at once. Manhattanville grad Bill Silengo and Daniel Webster coach DJ Fimiani will lead the Spartan programs.

March 4, 2016 Bianchini pushes UMB to first NEHC title game with 2-1 OT win over Castleton RUTLAND, Vt. – With just over eight minutes expired in the first overtime period, Alli Bianchini (Detroit, Mich.) picked the pocket of a Castleton University defenseman and beat the Spartans goaltender to give women's hockey a 2-1 win to push UMass Boston to their first New England Hockey Conference Tournament championship game in program history Friday evening at Kreitzberg Arena on the campus of Norwich University.
