Natasha Steinle had a hat trick for the Bengals.
February 19, 2017 No. 4 Elmira overpowers Bears in regular season finale ELMIRA, N.Y.—Fourth-ranked Elmira College (17-4-4, 14-2-2 ECAC West) overpowered the SUNY Potsdam women's hockey team (12-12-1, 8-9-1) 6-1 on Sunday afternoon. Senior captain Amanda Peterson (West Chazy, N.Y./Chazy Flyers) provided the Bears' offense again today.
February 18, 2017 No. 4 Elmira holds off Bears ELMIRA, N.Y.—Fourth-ranked Elmira College (16-4-4, 13-2-2 ECAC West) defeated the SUNY Potsdam women's hockey team (12-11-1, 8-8-1) 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. Senior captain Amanda Peterson (West Chazy, N.Y./Chazy Flyers) scored for the Bears and freshman goaltender Alexa Pfeiffer (Sylvania, Ohio/Little Caesar's) finished with 34 saves.
February 14, 2017 Pioneers down Bears, 3-1 POTSDAM, N.Y.—Utica College (14-8-1, 9-6-1 ECAC West) scored twice early in the second period and defeated the SUNY Potsdam women's hockey team (12-10-1, 8-7-1) 3-1 on Tuesday night. Senior forward Jordan Ott (Hilton, N.Y./Rochester Edge) scored her 61st career goal for the Bears.
February 12, 2017 Bears rally to clinch playoff spot in OT, match wins mark POTSDAM, N.Y.—Freshman defenseman Delphine Léonard (Montreal, Quebec/Dawson College Prep) scored an empty-net goal with 14 seconds left in overtime to give the SUNY Potsdam women's hockey team (12-9-1, 8-6-1 ECAC West) a 4-3 victory over William Smith College (6-12-5, 3-9-4). The win clinched a playoff berth and matched the program records for single-season overall and conference victories. Senior forward Jordan Ott (Hilton, N.Y./Rochester Edge) scored the 59th and 60th goals of her career and sophomore forward Jenna Patterson (Boissevain, Manitoba/Westman Wildcats) chipped in a power-play marker. Freshman goaltender Alexa Pfeiffer (Sylvania, Ohio/Little Caesar's) made 20 saves for her eighth career win.
February 11, 2017 Herons blank Bears on Senior Day POTSDAM, N.Y.—Williams Smith College (6-11-5, 3-8-4 ECAC West) stayed in the playoff hunt and kept the SUNY Potsdam women's hockey team (11-9-1, 7-6-1) from clinching a playoff berth with a 2-0 win on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore forward Tess Madarasz (Mendham, N.J./Lawrenceville) had a goal and an assist to lead the Herons and junior goalie Maggie Salmon (Medford, Mass./The Governor's Academy) made 29 saves to earn the shutout.
