2019 Men's NCAA tournament field released!

The bracket is set and the field has been announced for the 2019 NCAA Men's Division III Men's Ice Hockey tournament, and it features a 9-3 East-West split with three of the four first round games slated to be held in the East Region.

The SUNYAC is just one of two leagues to place multiple teams in this year's NCAA tournament field.

Augsburg, Geneseo, Manhattanville, Norwich, Plymouth State, St. Norbert, Trinity, and the University of New England all received automatic qualifier bids as winners of their respective conference tournaments.

Four at-large berths were also awarded and were claimed by UW-Stevens Point, Oswego State, Hobart and UMass Boston.

Four opening round games are slated for Saturday, March 9, and will feature Augsburg at St. Norbert, Plymouth State at Hobart, Manhattanville at UMass Boston, and University of New England at Trinity.

In the quarterfinals, scheduled for Saturday, March 16, UW-Stevens Point will host the winner of Augsburg/St. Norbert, Geneseo will host the winner of UMass Boston/Manhattanville, Norwich will host the winner of Trinity/University of New England, and Oswego State will host the winner of Hobart/Plymouth State.  In the Frozen Four, to be held at the campus site of one of the remaining four teams on March 22 & 23, the winner of the UW-Stevens Point section will meet the winner of the Oswego State section, while the winner of the Geneseo section will face the winner of the Norwich section.
