MILTON, Mass. -- Jeff Eppright scored the go-ahead marker with 1:53 left and Ryan Burr added an empty-net goal moments later as No.6/9 University of New England secured a 6-4 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's ice hockey win over Curry College on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 3) at Ulin Rink.

The Nor'easters bounce back from Friday's 5-3 setback to the Colonels, which ended their 11-game win streak and 15-game unbeaten run. UNE now stands at 17-4-2 overall and 10-4-2 in the CCC, while Curry drops to 15-7-1 on the year and 9-6-1 during league matches.

UNE never trailed in the contest, sandwiching goals by Adam Canepa and Brady Fleurent around one by Jarret Kup of Curry in the 1st period.

Tyler Seltenreich bumped the lead to 3-1 in the 2nd, but the Colonels had things tied just 2:10 later on scores by Mack Heisinger and Michael Snow. The Nor'easters took a 4-3 edge into the 3rd frame, once Fleurent deposited his second of the day with 1:58 to go.

Lionel Mauron knotted it at 4-all midway through the final stanza, before the visitors finished strong for the win.

Tate Sproxton had 31 saves to get UNE back on track. Fleurent registered three points in-all, while Burr, Alden Weller, and Chris Jones each supported with two points.

Frank Cundiff recorded 18 stops in goal for Curry.

The Nor'easters will now prepare for the last weekend series of the regular-season versus No.9/10 Endicott College. The home-and-home starts Friday (7 p.m.) in Biddeford.
