Red Dragons fire their way past Bison, 4-1

CORTLAND, N.Y. – Junior Callie Jackson scored her fourth goal of the season in Nichols College's 4-1 loss at SUNY Cortland Saturday afternoon in non-conference women's ice hockey action at Alumni Arena.
 
Freshmen Mel McAleer and McKenna Gernander assisted on the play for the Bison, who were outshot 38-16. Junior goaltender Cassandra Goyette turned aside 34 shots.
 
The Red Dragons scored one in each of the third two periods and twice in the third. They converted on two of their eight chances with the extra attacker.
 
All-Time Series
This afternoon's contest marked the second all-time meeting between SUNY Cortland and Nichols College. The Red Dragons now lead the series, 2-0-0.
