UNE downs Endicott, 4-1, to stay unbeaten

BEVERLY, Mass. – The University of New England women's hockey team scored four unanswered goals to defeat Endicott College, 4-1, in Colonial Hockey Conference action at Bourque Arena on Friday night.
The Nor'easters (4-0, 3-0 CHC) fell behind early as Caroline Hughes put the Gulls (1-1-1, 0-1 CHC) on top just 1:33 into the game. Kenady Nevicosi kept her point streak intact with her third goal of the season to make the score 1-1 after a period.
Following a scoreless second, Julianne Sheehan put the Nor'easters in front with a goal off the opening face-off of the third period. Alex Mitchell added her first of the year at the 4:10 mark to make the score 3-1 in favor of UNE. Kyra Yu put in an empty-netter in the closing seconds.
Julia Benjamin made 31 saves on the night for the visitors, while Vendela Jonsson had 25 stops for Endicott.

With the result, UNE head coach David Venditti recorded his 200th career victory.
